About us

Blood, Sweat, & Týr was created in 2020, in the depths of the Icelandic winter nights. We pride ourselves on crafting high-quality, unique designs, taking inspiration from history and fantasy.

Since the beginning of our journey, Blood, Sweat, & Týr has grown exponentially. What started as a small, living room project, has quickly become the go-to for chainmail in Iceland, and has made appearances at some of Iceland’s biggest cultural events, including Reykjavík Pride and the Ljósanótt festival in Keflavík in 2024. We also had the great pleasure of being one of Midgard Fan Convention 2023's main exhibitors, and were featured among other small businesses at art markets organised by the Q-félag association and the City of Reykjavík in 2023 and 2024. After appearing the inaugural Heimar og Himingeimar weekend at the Hafnafjorður Library in August of last year, we are set to return in 2025 with a brand-new setup, including running the first ever chainmail workshop in Iceland! Recent media appearances include creating promotional material for the Reykjavík HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) club, and featuring in the Reykjavík Gravevine’s spotlight column On The Fringes, which highlights niche but fast-growing characters and creators across Iceland.
